EVERY GIRL WHO HAS TAKEN THE TEST HAS DIED.NOW IT'S KATE'S TURN.It's always been just Kate and her mom--and her mother is dying. Her last wish? To move back to her childhood home. So Kate's going to start at a new school with no friends, no other family and the fear that her mother won't live past the fall. Then she meets Henry. Dark. Tortured. And mesmerizing. He claims to be Hades, god of the Underworld--and if she accepts his bargain, he'll keep her mother alive while Kate tries to pass seven tests.Kate is sure he's crazy--until she sees him bring a girl back from the dead. Now saving her mother seems crazily possible. If she suceeds, she'll become Henry's future bride and a goddess.IF SHE FAILS
Goddess Test is the debut book of this trilogy. It’s about the
retelling of Hades and the Greek gods… and though I’m a big fan a Greek
mythology, this book had me right from the very beginning! I loved it, I
couldn’t stop reading and I kept reading until the very end! Henry is a deity, ruler of the dead! Kate
Winters is a teen that has given up on life due to her mother’s illness. All
Kate wants is to be left alone and to stay with her mother until the cruelty of
Cancer takes her. However, the unexpected happened… Kate watched and
friend/enemy die and brought back to life, by a very cute guy, Henry (that’s
how they suck you right in… the cute apart!) Kate was terrified yet happy that
her friend got to keep her life… Soon Kate realizes that everything isn’t at it
seems. Who is Henry? Can he save her
mother too? And did he really bring her friend back from the dead? Aimee Carter
Is a new author I started reading and I love the way she writes! She writes
passionately and ardently she tells her story as it is and no annoying page
fillers! Or unnecessary fuss! I
especially adore the heroine, despite the fact that Kate is a teen, she is well
grounded and selfless, she knows what she wants and she acts on it! She is
fair-minded and loving… I also like the twists and thrillers rendered in the
book. The mystery and the brilliance behind the story of Hades, god of the
underworld as told by the author, was outstanding and satisfying and I know I
will be reading this book over and over again…

As a big fan when it comes to Greek mythology based stories, I must say that this book starts of as one of the best. A great romance novel focusing on the myths of Persephone and Hades. Kate is the last candidate in a long line of girls up for the throne to the underworld. But the obstacles that face her are plenty, unknown and deadly to her. Will she be able to overcome this?- when the tests are unknown to her. Can she win the love of Henry- a god who is ready to fade into the unknown? The story basically starts of with Kate moving to the middle of nowhere with her mother who is at the end of her lifespan fighting cancer. While adjusting to her new life she meets new people and makes a few friends, but when she is given a chance to spend more time with her dying mother Kate grabs at the opportunity, the only problem is her payment for this favor. Henry needs help, and he is just about to give up- but there may be an answer- Kate- can she? Is she good enough? That’s where the test comes in. James is Kate's best friend all he wants is what's best for her- will this lead to something even deeper than friendship between him and Kate? Goddess test will have you captivated from front to back a great thrill. I definitely can't wait to see what Aimee has in store next.

Title: The Goddess Hunt

A vacation in Greece sounds like the perfect way for Kate Winters to spend her first sabbatical away from the Underworld...until she gets caught up in an immortal feud going back millennia. Castor and Pollux have been on the run from Zeus and Hades's wrath for centuries, hiding from the gods who hunt them. The last person they trust is Kate, the new Queen of the Underworld. Nevertheless, she is determined to help their cause. But when it comes to dealing with immortals, Kate still has a lot to learn....eBook
The
Goddess hunt was a quick and fun read. The only
problem is that it was too short. This story was written from Henry’s and
Kate’s POV and I loved Henry’s POV better than Kate’s. I got to see inside
Henry’s head and heart and how much he cares and loves Kate and how he values
their marriage. Henry would pretty much do anything for Kate even go against
Walter (Zeus) for his new wife. Kate on the other hand is clueless as usual,
believing James to be her friend, why James is using Kate to torment Henry. All
in All, I enjoyed knowing Henry and James’s “Stands” when it comes to Kate. It
comes down to this; Henry loves and wants only Kate. James feeds Kate’s
insecurity and is using Kate to best Henry, Also, James is manipulative!
Plus, I couldn’t help but wonder why James is … well cruel to Henry, why is
there and animosity between Henry and James (mostly on James’s part) and why
does it seem like James wants everything Henry has. Curious. James is
adamant to show Kate things that would make Kate abandon Henry, why?
Also, after reading “The Goddess Interrupted” and “The Goddess Hunt”, I know
James has flexible Morals. Yet Kate seems to see a friend in James. Well! Aimee
carter did a great job and she indeed peaked my curiosity! It would be a long
wait until the third and final book, since I have read The Goddess Interrupted.
Well-done.

OMG thank you for giving me something to hold me over until the next one. But this was such a tease. A short story showing a little insight on Kate's trip to Greece during her six month break from ruling the underworld with Henry. But could this be part of her test as well? James' has accompanied her but with this comes trouble, and soon Kate finds herself fighting against her very own family she recently inherited. Henry is forced to choose sides, either his newfound wife or his Brother, King of the Greek Gods. What will he do? And can Kate remain faithful to Henry? Definitely a good story but I need more how much longer till Goddess Interrupted?

Kate Winters has won immortality. But if she wants a life in the Underworld with Henry, she’ll have to fight for it. Becoming immortal wasn’t supposed to be the easy part. Though Kate is about to be crowned Queen of the Underworld, she’s as isolated as ever. And despite her growing love for Henry, ruler of the Underworld, he’s becoming ever more distant and secretive. Then, in the midst of Kate’s coronation, Henry is abducted by the only being powerful enough to kill him: the King of the Titans. As the other gods prepare for a war that could end them all, it is up to Kate to save Henry from the depths of Tartarus. But in order to navigate the endless caverns of the Underworld, Kate must enlist the help of the one person who is the greatest threat to her future. ... Henry’s first wife, Persephone.
Goddess
interrupted is an amazing read and I love
every Sentence! It was an emotional roller coaster, still engrossing. I
was rapt from the very 1st chapter and I couldn’t stop reading. I read the
story in one day, one seating. Aimee Carter has written another captivating
tale. Though, the foundation of this was based on the Greek myth of Hades
and Persephone, Carter added more facets and twist and romance and surprises
and suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat and keep your heart
racing for the entire book! It was astonishing. Each character in this
book had a role to play and something to contribute in this beguiling story,
yet Carter wrote this book in a way that you couldn’t fully blame anyone for
the actions or the path they chose to take. Kate I believe is the victim,
yet she perseveres she might be young and very insecure, but she is
strong-willed, a character I admired. Kate Winters is a queen in making.
Henry, hasn’t had hope or seen the in light at the end of the tunnel in a very
very long time, so when he finally found hope, I don’t think he knew how to
deal. His actions were understandable and yet, well what can I say after all
his losses and a major heartbreak from his first wife, I can’t blame him for
his form of self-preservation when it feels like or should I say looks like
history might repeat itself (James). All I can say is I,
wow!!!! It was a great story and in the end the cliffhanger, was Jaw-
dropping, heart wrenching, and left me breathless! My only hope is…
well it just CAN’T be! I can’t wait for the 3rd and final book
in the series Goddess Inheritance, which I plan to savor by the way because
this is just a brilliant story. Well-done Carter!

What
a freaking awesome cliffhanger at the end. Wait what am I saying now my brain
can't stop wandering what the hell is going to happen next. Aimee has definitely
done it again keeping the story addictive as ever. I could not put this
down. Kate and Henry are facing their biggest challenge yet when it comes to
their marriage, not to mention the end of the Gods is closely approaching. Can
Kate help save her new family? Or is all lost? After sentencing Hera to a
lifetime of humiliating groveling to make up for her evil deeds, Hera is hell-bent
on exacting her revenge on all the Greek Gods, especially Kate. The threat of
the Titans' Cronus release has all gods in a hiatus. Hera has kidnapped the big
six and the only person who can help right now is Persephone. Kate finds
herself searching for help from the one person she can never live up to. ill
Persephone help? And can Kate make it in time to save the Gods? Will Cronus escape?
Aimee I must say I need more now. Can't wait Definitely two thumbs up ten toes
all the way up.

Title: The Goddess Legacy
Author: Aimee Carter
Series: The Goddess Test Series # 2.5
Publisher: Harlequin Teen
Paperback: 304 pages
Pub Date: July 31st 2012
For millennia we've caught only glimpses of the lives and loves of the gods and goddesses on Olympus. Now Aimé e Carter pulls back the curtain on how they became the powerful, petty, loving and dangerous immortals that Kate Winters knows.
Calliope/Hera represented constancy and yet had a husband who never matched her faithfulness...Ava/Aphrodite was the goddess of love and yet commitment was a totally different deal...Persephone was urged to marry one man, yet longed for another...James/Hermes loved to make trouble for others-but never knew true loss before...Henry/Hades's solitary existence had grown too wearisome to continue. But meeting Kate Winters gave him a new hope...Five original novellas of love, loss and longing and the will to survive throughout the ages.
Wow! What an amazing journey! I am astounded. Sensational! Five great stories, heart –wrenching, exciting, wincing and
cheering, though I can’t bring myself to feel too badly for any of the Greek
gods, well …Er… except for Hades- Henry because they are all psychos!
Aimee Carter is a
very talented writer! Carter is just too much and I can’t wait for the next
chapter of her writing career… after the Goddess test series because Carter
tells stories that captivates and bring old tales back to existence anew. I never get tired of the way Aimee Carter
portrays her Greek gods and it’s amazing to read about their actions and
reactions to certain issues. Honestly, its just plain weird! And the Drama! OMG! Kate has a lot to fix in her new
family, and I am glad she has the strength to take them on because after
reading this book, I am certain she is what the gods need. The Goddess legacy
was no different from Carter’s books it was enriching, fascinating, emotionally
draining and I loved every minute I spent reading this masterpiece. I love how
some of our questions where answered and I smiled at Henry’s reaction when he’d
first seen Kate and hers to him! The only problem I had with this book is that
it was too short especially Henry/Hades tale, but no matter I would let my
imagination go wild.
Okay… when they
say “the gods must be crazy”, this book took that phrase literally! Take
Hera/Calliope for instance, I understand everything she’d went through and I
understand she didn’t get the life she’d wanted, but in the end… she became the
worst of the lot! She is prideful and ruthless and bitter! I almost felt sorry
for her… Almost. I didn’t! Serves her right! Zeus, well what can I say? He is
the male version of his wife; the only difference is that she believes in
fidelity in a way and Zeus not so much! The maddening aspect, in a good way … of this book, is seeing
that the gods act like teens, and are ruled by their emotions, it was comical
and I finally realized that each one of the gods doesn’t really merit to be
called a god…. Er… Well… Hades does and Kate too. All I can say is that this
book rocked! And I will read it over and over again despite how royally messed
up and dysfunctional this family is... er… except for Hades …Agh! Henry. I can’t wait until the third and final
book The goddess Inheritance! Well-done Aimee Carter!

Goddess
Inheritance, the last book in the Goddess Test Series like all the other
previous books is an emotional roller costar, but this conclusion rankled!
Secrets were spilled, a new beginning is promised and death isn’t far from the
Horizon. BUT fOR WHOM?
It was
worth the wait! Kate and Henry’s
struggles just might have come to an end… although Happily ever after? HUH!
I can give
too much away, but lets just say I was beguiled and ended up muttering, “fucking
GREEK gods”! I loved it. It was an engrossing story, yet it felt unfinished… I
wanted more Henry!
Goddess Inheritance had an edge of my sit twist
that left me with a bitter taste in my mouth yet… WOW! What and ending though!
A Big THANKS to NetGalley

It reminds me of P.C. Cast's Goddess Summoning series, which I really enjoyed. I'll have to remember Aimee Carter! :)
