Love, the ache in your heart when you meet the one. It can take you to soaring heights; and it can leave you bleeding in the wreckage. Loyalty, the thing which binds a Vampire Lord to his children for eternity ... unless it rots from within, birthing hatred. Betrayal, it comes in many forms and from many sources ... love ... loyalty ... betrayal. War has come to the North American vampires, and Vampire Lords are reaching across territorial lines to strengthen allies and weaken enemies. The most powerful Lord of them all, Raphael, could change the course of the war and determine who raises the final banner of victory. But at what price? And will his mate, Cyn, be the one to pay it?

They say a good book is judge by what you take from it, now I wonder how you judge a book that is etched in your mind
eternally …
Betrayed was a beautifully written piece and I
loved every minute of it! Although, why I’m surprise I don’t know, D.B.
Reynolds, never disappoints! Nothing she writes is mediocre… And all her books have
an addictive quality to it. As always, I love reading about Cyn and Raphael and
this Novella portrayed them in Spades. And there were brief moment where old
characters we know were mentioned.
Lucas was introduced in this book and I must say I
can’t wait to meet him! I love the relationship Lucas and Raphael has and it
was … I don’t think there is an adjective to qualify their bond because It was astonishing
to read…plus Raphael’s fondness for Lucas was genuinely paternal and sweet!
DB Reynolds is and amazing writer, I love her world
and I hope she never stops writing…. Because if she did, it will be a blasphemy!
Her books are everlasting and her writing is always etched in my heart for a
long time and I can’t wait until her next full novel and novella…I am counting
down to the release date! I want more, now!
