The Causal Vacancy By J. K. Rowling

Dawn & Winnie Book Reviews
Cover Reveal
When Barry Fairbrother dies in his early forties, the town of Pagford is
left in shock.
Pagford is, seemingly, an English idyll, with a cobbled market square
and an ancient abbey, but what lies behind the pretty façade is a town at war.
Rich at war with poor, teenagers at war with their parents, wives at war
with their husbands, teachers at war with their pupils…Pagford is not what it
first seems.
And the empty seat left by Barry on the parish council soon becomes the
catalyst for the biggest war the town has yet seen. Who will triumph in an
election fraught with passion, duplicity, and unexpected revelations?
A big novel about a small town, The Casual Vacancy is J. K. Rowling’s
first novel for adults. It is the work of a storyteller like no other.

If I am honest, the name appeals more than the blurb... I think I will wait for the first reviews before I make the decision to buy or not to buy!
I'm probably going to read this book no matter the reviews. Honestly, if it wasn't Rowling, I'd have read that blurb about the book and it would have gone into the "not going to read" shelf. But just the curiosity factor alone means I'm going to read it. Reviews might make a difference about whether I buy it or get it from the libarary, though.
You both are absolutely right, But I am a fan… I 'd chance it. I hope she still has the Harry Potter Juice left. This book are super expensive, it better be good… or I would return if it isn't!
Interesting...I think I am also in the wait and see what the early reviews say to determine whether I read it right away or wait a bit. I didn't know it was coming...glad Rowling is still writing!
Luv ur blog :D **New Follower**
Rowling is awesome, even though the blurb and cover don't appeal to me much. I will read it.

The worth of a book is to be measured by what you can carry away from it. ~James Bryce
