Vlad was minding his own business, when he sensed some human, okay Leila… see? Freak! - In his head spying on him. The bizarre part is that he could not only feel her, he could also mind speak her. At first he was pissed then the human made a deal he couldn’t refuse, she would lead him to his enemies, AKA the vamps that kidnapped her, in return Vlad will let her go! He wouldn’t kill her in anyway or fashion (the devil is in the details).  Basically, that’s the gist of it… However… there is more to this dilemma, the odd attraction, Vlad’s arrogance and the fact that Vlad is the only person Leila can touch without sending him to the Emergency Room! Again her touch problem. This book is awesome; it has loads of action, wit, raw sexual magnetism, seduction, snarky witty humor and many more! I LOVE LOVED it. I saw a different side of Vlad and I like, I also like the fact that Jeaniene Frost, added a dash of Bones and Kat, laced with Mencheres and Kira! As always, Bones and Vlad are oil and water, and they both never fail to irritate the other… it was amusing!
