Jacob, the enforcer has spent hundreds of years hunting scoundrel demons whom have given in to moon madness. (Ah… touch humans, killing them with sexual pleasure! If you ask me is that such a bad way to die??? ***Grins evilly***). His life changes in a twinkling of an eye when a good-looking woman falls out of her apartment window and lands in his arms. (Talk about manner from heaven!). Jacob’s only reason for being is to hunt down and punish demons that cross the line by preying on humans, but his job bring him enemies and his loneliness is almost paralyzing!

Isabella is a librarian by day and moon watcher by night. One night, while she was watching the moon outside her fifth floor walk up, she sees a man five floor below. Suddenly he stops, looks at her and soon she was in his arms… Jacob, the enforcer has just broken the rules for the first time in four hundred years… but why? Has he given in to his basic needs due to the moon madness? Or is destiny intervening in his life?

JACOB by Jacquelyn Frank is extremely passionate and very action packed. I couldn’t put this book down until I‘d finished reading. I love how the author integrated demon folklore in the story, and yet still gives the demons a human touch. I love the mature enduring conversations… I love the humor and the elegance and the feel of the entire novel. Jacob, as an enforcer, he is used to austerely following rules… then Isabella fell into his arms, what a miracle. I found myself cheery at his indifference for the very rules his charged of enforcing. Isabella his woman is superbly written. She is full of courage and compassion. Plus, Isabella is incredibly smart. JACOB: THE NIGHTWALKERS SERIES by Jacquelyn Frank's debut tome and I’m pleased that I stumbled upon this unique novel. I can’t wait to start on the next novel in the series and I admire this well told legend. A must read- 5 stars!!! And Scorching. -Winnie

Gideon (Nightwalkers # 2)

"Gideon" is the second narrative in Jacquelyn Frank's Nightwalkers series. I enjoyed reading "Jacob", and I found this book somewhat charming, yet predictable. The Nightwalkers world is charismatic and refreshing and I loved every bit of their coupling. In this narrative Gideon, the oldest of all demon and Magdalegna, the demon king’s younger sister have always been drawn to each other, but at a moment of weakness during Beltane and Samhein (moon madness), Gideon had Secom to the lowest of their kind. He ended up humiliating himself with a human due to the moon madness after spurning Legna! He’d lived in a self-imposed exile for years. Until the events in "Jacob" hauled him back to the world of the demons, there by facing his destiny with Legna...his one true mate. The mated pair worked through their issues and ended up together, But not without huddles. Worst, the huddle/ enemy in this installment stemmed from an insider, one of their own-, which made the betrayal even more horrendous. In the end, alliances where formed and new characters and races that were introduced. And with these developments I found myself even more enthralled. I can't wait to see more books... from this series. I like frank’s Nightwalkers world… it is almost perfect, but not… I like how each mated pair are easy going yet complicated and I loved their enduring, charming and humorous way of communication, it is truly mind boggling. 3 stars
