Twilight Series by Stephanie Meyer

Twilight by Stephanie MeyerIsabella Swan's move to Forks, a small, perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, Bella's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. Up until now, Edward has managed to keep his vampire identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Bella, the person Edward holds most dear. The lovers find themselves balanced precariously on the point of a knife—between desire and danger. Deeply romantic and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight captures the struggle between defying our instincts and satisfying our desires. This is a love story with bite

This YA Paranormal romance is a bit of a refresher for me. I am a hopeless die hard romantic and so fell in love with the idea of Bella and Edward being in love... Not to mention the rest of his Vampire family clan.. If you are a hopeless romantic like myself brace yourself to fall in love with the first novel of the twilight series by Stephanie Meyer.
She takes the vampire world and add a little lime to the coconut for a bit of twist. Vamps can go into sunlight without combusting, apart from their regular super speed they each have enhanced powers from their human lives. The story not only focuses on the main Bella and Edward but gives you insight to the other vamps lives. This one you learn about Alice (Edward's "sister") and James (Bella's nemesis) past lives/ history.
Come read on about the cold ones, the pale faces and the Quillette tribes.

Stephanie Meyer is an amazing writer!
I've read this book 10 times in the last year and fallen in love with everything Twilight. I have to admit that I haven't read a great deal of books during my adult life, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect from Twilight. Basically twilight was my first book ever! And since then I have hungered for anything books. I really can't think of a specific thing that's not to like about the two main characters, Edward and Bella. Edward is a kind, sensitive and loving. He wages an endless battle in his own mind between the knowledge that Bella is perfect for him and the knowledge that being near him will only increase the risks for his cute but accident-prone danger-magnet ( His Bella). Edward is frequently reminding Bella of the risk he himself poses to her very life, and yet he always behaves as a perfect gentleman, even in the most difficult situations.
On the other hand, Bella was also very intelligent, shy and a bit socially awkward, and charmingly clumsy, making her entirely significant to him. Bella considered herself to be a very plain, ordinary girl, but Edward thought her to be completely beautiful. I guess beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I love this book! And I say it's a must read… Stephanie Meyer is just insightful
( For lack of better words)

NEW MOON (Twilight 2)by Stephanie MeyerI FELT LIKE I WAS TRAPPED IN ONE OF THOSE TERRIFYING NIGHTMARES…For Bella Swan, there is one thing more important than life itself: Edward Cullen. But being in love with a vampire is even more dangerous than Bella ever could have imagined. Edward has already rescued Bella from the clutches of one evil vampire, but now, as their daring relationship threatens all that is near and dear to them, they realize their troubles may be just beginning. . . .Legions of readers entranced by the New York Times bestseller Twilightare hungry for the continuing story of star-crossed lovers Bella and Edward. In New Moon, Stephenie Meyer delivers another irresistible combination of romance and suspense with a supernatural spin. Passionate, riveting, and full of surprising twists and turns, this vampire love saga is well on its way to literary immortality
New Moon  continues with the epic tale of these star crossed lovers. In Twilight we were introduced to the Nomads James Victoria and Laurent.
In New Moon a simple paper cut causes the ever seemingly relationship between Bella and Edward to come to an end. Bella now must cope with fighting her broken heart, temporary inner demons a new found love and face one of the most dangerous vampires of all time.
Victoria and Laurent return for revenge, Jacob has a dark secret which may in fact be the death of Bella and Edward has made a decision that might be the end of him.
It is in this story where you answer the ultimate question...Team Edward? or Team Jacob??? Only your heart can decide.
Follow Stephanie Meyer in her second Twilight tale, which is sure to hook you as the first one did. You are sure to get your fill of love, thrills suspense and action. Where secrets are revealed, games are played and everyone's heart is on the line...

When I see a New Moon, I remember "losing true love"… Yes! It sounds horrid, but it’s true.
If you didn't love this book or Jacob on the first read you must read it again. I read this book twice because for me, this book was a tearjerker…
Twilight was a splendid romance  (finding true love), which repeatedly left me in good spirits, HOWEVER, New Moon takes on a bittersweet, pain-filled and jittery tone in this striking legend of teen love between a vampire and a human and werewolf thingy. The book gets off to an unpredictable start, but rapidly turns to a profound sorrow when Edward makes a fateful decision concerning Bella's safety and future. I call his choice the ripple effect, because his choice introduced how startling Jacob really is. A bittersweet ending for me, yet it was a great read! Stephanie Meyer is a superstar….

Eclipse (Twilight #3)by Stephanie Meyer
Edward’s soft voice came from behind me.I turned to see him spring lightly up the porch steps, his hair windblown from running. He pulled me into his arms at once, just like he had in the parking lot, and kissed me again. This kiss frightened me. There was too much tension, too strong an edge to the way his lips crushed mine–like he was afraid we had only so much time left to us.
As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob–knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella has one more decision to make: life or death. But which is which?

Can I say it now ? Go team Edward !!  Yes that’s right. This is by far my favorite in the series. Bella and Edward struggle to keep their love alive against  the terrible odds that face them in this third Novel.
Jacob’s secret is out. Not the one where he is in fact a werewolf but the fact that he is in love with Bella…Yes… Edward torn with guilt about abandoning Bella in New moon refuses to let Bella out of his sight. Victoria  still out for revenge is  a plaguing menace in forks as she  amuses herself with the discrepancy between the Cullens and the Quillette tribe.
Somewhere vamps are preparing for war…but with who and why? The Volturi is also another lurking threat. All of this, if not taken care of could mean the end of Bella and Edward as we know it. Two Thumps plus ten  toes all the way UP.

On December 21st 2010, there was an Eclipse of the moon and you know what I was thinking about? Yep! You guessed it. “ Choosing true love”- Eclipse – the third book in the twilight series
Eclipse has some of my favorite scenes in it! It’s funny, groundbreaking, and life changing…. Honestly there are no adjectives to qualify how great this book is. A.W.E.S.O.M.E!
I am a solid Team Jacob
Ok! Jacob… was a lot cockier in this book, and I loved it.
I felt sympathy for his situation, and I understood his position, he fought for his love (Bella) and to me that meant bravery.
He never gave up! He was passionate, yet strong. I want a Jacob in my corner!
Bella and Edward’s relationship was the main focus of the novel… I meant Bella, Edward and Jacob’s relationship - because there is a love triangle in the plot of this novel. I don’t want to give anything away but it’s a tale and fight that should NOT be forgotten. This is romantic fantasy – enjoy it! ( 5 stars) Stephanie Meyer  is a hard act to follow!

Breaking Dawn (Twilight #4)by Stephanie Meyer
Twilight tempted the imagination. New Moon made readers thirsty for more. Eclipse turned the saga into a worldwide phenomenon. And now, the book that everyone has been waiting for... Breaking Dawn, the final book in the #1 bestselling Twilight Saga, will take your breath away.

In Breaking Dawn Team Edward has taken the final steps into making him and Bella one.
In this conclusive book to the twilight saga, Bella  makes a decision which puts Edward on edge, and possibly might yet again Kill HER.

If  Bella is changed she can never return to Forks, if she does not change the Volturi is sure to kill her, Jacob is still determined to change her mind, and a new bond forms between Rosalie and Bella as it pushes Alice away.
What could be causing this strife…Breaking Dawn  brings this story to a finality. The ending is somewhat anti-climatic but brings full closure to us all…One and a half thumbs up.
Only question left...Where is Midnight Sun?? Hurry up and finish it  Stephanie.

Breaking Dawn
(Bella: "Why am I covered in feathers?") LOL!
(Edward: I bit a pillow)

Where do I begin? I LOVED this book. It was even better than I even imagined.
Love? Yes!  Romance? Yes! Loyalty? Yes! Alliance Yes! Pregnancy? YES!!!! (WHOA… I didn’t see that one coming… Stay tuned or better yet, go READ this book … Please…) OMG!!!!

The wedding… was picturesque. The honeymoon was even better. Stephanie Meyer did an amazing job of writing a "sophisticated, elegant and lots of finesse," honeymoon scene. (It wasn't filthy at all). It was scenic.
I was so glad this book had the Happily Ever After ending. Everything came together brilliantly.  Jacob, in my opinion was the hero in this book. He made everything better with his strength, prudence and most of all his ability to love.
Bella also grew a lot in the book. She was stoic!
Breaking Dawn is my absolute favorite of the series by an extreme. It was filled with love, trepidation, true friendship, loyalty, sorrow, happiness and much more. I look forward to reading this book again and again!  All in all, it all came together! It ended well. I am almost sad that this is the final book, but I couldn’t have asked for more!
 (5 Stars).
And Stephanie Meyer… Thank you... You Rock!

Wait… Are you going to publish Midnight Sun??? Ever?

Midnight Sun (Twilight #5)- UNOFFICIAL RELEASEby Stephenie MeyerMidnight Sun is the much anticipated retelling of Twilight from Edward Cullen's perspective. Because an unedited partial draft was illegally leaked onto the internet in 2008, author Stephenie Meyer put the project on indefinite hold. On her website there is  a link to the entire partial draft of the book so that those who wanted to read it could do so legally and with her consent

I am very disappointed that this book has been put on a hiatus. After reading to all to short draft, I wanted more. Edwards perspective is so much darker than the lover boy vamp we see in the other twilight books. Please Stephanie, give us more....

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner(Twilight #3.5)by Stephenie MeyerFans of The Twilight Saga will be enthralled by this riveting story of Bree Tanner, a character first introduced in Eclipse, and the darker side of the newborn vampire world she inhabits. In another irresistible combination of danger, mystery, and romance, Stephenie Meyer tells the devastating story of Bree and the newborn army as they prepare to close in on Bella Swan and the Cullens, following their encounter to its unforgettable conclusion. Bree Tanner can barely remember life before she had uncannily powerful senses, superhuman reflexes and unstoppable physical strength. Life before she had a relentless thirst for blood... life before she became a vampire. All Bree knows is that living with her fellow newborns has few certainties and even fewer rules: watch your back, don't draw attention to yourself and, above all, make it home by sunrise or die. What she doesn't know: her time as an immortal is quickly running out. Then Bree finds an unexpected friend in Diego, a newborn just as curious as Bree about their mysterious creator, whom they know only as "her". As they come to realize that the newborns are pawns in a game larger than anything they could have imagined, Bree and Diego must choose sides and decide whom to trust. But when everything you know about vampires is based on a lie, how do you find the truth?
