Title: Truth
Author: Sherri Hayes
Series: Finding Anna Series # 3
Publisher: The Writer's Coffee Shop
ARC: The Writer's Coffee Shop
EBook:
Publication Date: July 25th 2013
For the last two months, Brianna has discovered something she never thought she would again. Hope. After the horror of being Ian’s slave for ten months, a fate she never imagined she’d escape, it feels as if she is living a dream. She has freedom she hadn’t expected to have again, and she wakes up every morning not fearing what the day will bring.
There is also Stephan. The man who saved her from the daily torture she had to endure at the hands of Ian and his friends. The same man who makes her heart race with just the thought of him. Life is good.Outside forces are determined to conspire against them, however. When Brianna’s father shows up on her doorstep, it sends her world spiraling out of control. He brings with him new information about how Brianna ended up in Ian’s clutches, but will it make a difference? Will Stephan be able to find a way to make Ian pay for all he made Brianna suffer? As Brianna and Stephan try to find out the truth, their relationship is tested. She is forced to face her past head on and deal with the ugly reality of what happened to her. Will Stephan’s love be enough to see her through her newest challenge, or will the fragile trust they’ve built come crumbling down around them as the truth makes itself known.
A BIG THANKS TO THE PUBLISHERS, THE WRITER’S COFFEE SHOP FOR AN ADVANCE READER COPY OF TRUTH BY SHERRI HAYES.
Exceptional,
Enthralling, thought- provoking, soul gripping and
shockingly intense! Truth by Sherri Hayes is another ACE and I was one of the lucky
ones who got an ARC.
WOW! What a story. I’ve
always had mixed feelings every time I re- visit this complicated world, yet I
can seem to help myself. In this storyline Hayes has woven, things aren’t simply
just BLACK OR WHITE, I’d say there are loads of GREY area and if you aren’t
careful, you’d begin to wonder why you are reading this. However rest assured
that this series always helps people understand the complexity of human nature.
It all started when Stephan bought Brianna… now, now it’s not what you’d think… NOT
by a long shot, He’d helped her and then fell in love with her. She‘d been a Slave,
hence the first book in the series. As the series progressed into the second
book in the series Need, We saw Anna and Stephan’s journey. Off course… Brianna was pretty messed up! People would see
Stephan’s affections as manipulative at best and sick at worst, but like I’d
said open mindedness is the key. The end of Need left us fans on the
edge of our seats…
Truth started
intense… it was gripping and it had an additive quality to it from start to
finish. In this continuation, Brianna had acquired strength we didn’t think
she’d had, yet she is still broken. All I know is that readers will not be
disappointed. Secrets were spilled, hearts were broken and our worst fears were
realized! I loved every time spent reading the book, every moment every fantasy
and then some! And I cannot WAIT until the fourth and final book in the Finding
Anna Series!

Just weeks after Jaron has taken the throne, an assassination attempt forces him into a deadly situation. Rumors of a coming war are winding their way between the castle walls, and Jaron feels the pressure quietly mounting within Carthya. Soon, it becomes clear that deserting the kingdom may be his only hope of saving it. But the further Jaron is forced to run from his identity, the more he wonders if it is possible to go too far. Will he ever be able to return home again? Or will he have to sacrifice his own life in order to save his kingdom? The stunning second installment of The Ascendance Trilogy takes readers on a roller-coaster ride of treason and murder, thrills and peril, as they journey with the Runaway King!
First off,
a big THANKS to Netgalley for the advance reader’s copy of
The RUNAWAY
KING by Jennifer Nielsen
The Runaway
king is another winner for Jennifer Neilson! It was a great story and I can’t
wait for the final episode!
Sage once again uses his wit and sharp thinking
skills to save his people and then some!
In this sequel, Sage had been a king for a
fair few weeks; yet power trips in his kingdom are already trying to steal his
kingdom away from the young king. Good
luck with that! Worst, there is a
brewing war against his people, yet no one believes King Jaron AKA Sage! The
question is how is Sage going to make his people take him seriously, and what
is he going to do with his queen by inheritance? When is heart already belonged
to another? Love triangle perhaps? Huh!
The Runaway King is a thrilling sequel to The False Prince.
The revelations are jaw dropping and exciting. OMG!!! Pirates! And my King
Jaron is still the fun loving, sarcastic, mischievous boy at heart, but Sage grew
up a lot in this book! The end had a major Cliffy…! Wonderful sequel , edge of
my seat, drool inducing…WOW.

Title: Girl Gone
Author: Gillian Flynn
Hardcover: 419
Publisher: Weidenfeld
& Nicolson
Publication Date: May 24th
2012
Marriage can be a real killer.
One of the most critically acclaimed suspense writers of our time, New York Times bestseller Gillian Flynn takes that statement to its darkest place in this unputdownable masterpiece about a marriage gone terribly, terribly wrong. The Chicago Tribune proclaimed that her work “draws you in and keeps you reading with the force of a pure but nasty addiction.” Gone Girl’s toxic mix of sharp-edged wit and deliciously chilling prose creates a nerve-fraying thriller that confounds you at every turn.
On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne’s fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn’t doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife’s head, but passages from Amy's diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media—as well as Amy’s fiercely doting parents—the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he’s definitely bitter—but is he really a killer?
As the cops close in, every couple in town is soon wondering how well they know the one that they love. With his twin sister, Margo, at his side, Nick stands by his innocence. Trouble is, if Nick didn’t do it, where is that beautiful wife? And what was in that silvery gift box hidden in the back of her bedroom closet? With her razor-sharp writing and trademark psychological insight, Gillian Flynn delivers a fast-paced, devilishly dark, and ingeniously plotted thriller that confirms her status as one of the hottest writers around
OMG to sum it all up…Sociopaths
on the loose!
A thrilling, nail biting, jaw dropping, non stop sequence of secret revelations
all wrapped up in a story told in a very
charismatic fun light and sarcastic way.
I was turning the pages non stop and I must say that no matter what you think
or how you think this story is going turn- YOU ARE WRONG- We follow Nick
Dunne's wife Amy goes missing- thing is, all evidence circumstantial and non
point to Nick. Even some of Nick's actions point him as guilty. Nick must
convince the world of his innocence, including his twin sister Go. With two
POVs one of Nick and one of his missing wife through entries in her diary over
seven years, you the reader are taken on a journey through an almost every day
marriage gone wrong. Having to face hardships of life: Dying and living family
members, the economic recession, love and hate, Nick and Amy takes you on the
emotional roller coaster ride of your life. I am not a one for thrillers but I
guarantee you that this book- you'll love. ..
