Dawn & Winnie Book Reviews
Dragon Bound (Elder Races #1)By Thea HarrisonHalf-human and half-Wyr, Pia Giovanni spent her life keeping a low profile among the Wyrkind and avoiding the continuing conflict between them and their Dark Fae enemies. But after being blackmailed into stealing a coin from the hoard of a dragon, Pia finds herself targeted by one of the most powerful—and passionate—of the Elder Races.
As the most feared and respected of the Wyrkind, Dragos Cuelebre cannot believe someone had the audacity to steal from him, much less succeed. And when he catches the thief, Dragos spares her life, claiming her as his own to further explore the desire they've ignited in each other.
Pia knows she must repay Dragos for her trespass, but refuses to become his slave—although she cannot deny wanting him, body and soul.
Dragon Bound is a debut book in the Elder
Race series. It centers
on a Dragon and a girl, Pia. Pia is a half human and half wyr and she has lived
her entire life hiding what kind of wyr she is and her abilities from others.
Pia’s mother taught her to never trust anyone with her secret, yet the very
first time she told her secret, the ripple effect changed her life. Which led
to Pia, being blackmailed into stealing from a dragon’s hoard . . .
After using her
unique abilities to steal from Dragos and succeeding, Pia is on the run because
if the Dragon finds her…
Dragos Cuelebre
is an ancient dragon; he is described as being born with the solar system and
he’d been seen as a god for centuries. Dragos is the omniscient leader of the
Wyr Demesne, the ultimate predator ruling other predators. So when he found out
that someone stole from him and worst succeeded, He sets out to catch the criminal
that had stolen from him… Instead,
he gets caught himself by the criminal. He finds himself feeling things and
doing things that he never thought probable. Drago’s ended up realizing that there is much more he needs
to learn and understand… Drago
becomes caring and compassionate and he realizes that he has found his mate. The
fervor and adore between Pia and Dragos is volatile. Thea Harrison writes numerous steamy sex scenes between Pia
and Drago that made me blush. I loved the humor and suspense in the book. Plus its
action packed. I loved it!!!
Harrison also delivers a great deal of entertainment with her supporting
cast of secondary characters in Dragon Bound. Dragon Bound is a good addition
to the PNR genre and a great debut Harrison also writes a new, complex world
filled with magic and distinguishing paranormals along with a gripping
storyline.

The worth of a book is to be measured by what you can carry away from it. ~James Bryce
