Iron Fey Series by Julie Kagawa

Title: The Iron King
Author: Julie Kagawa
Series:  Iron Fey Series #1
Publisher: Harlequin Teen
Paperback: 363
Publication Date: February 1st 2010
Meghan Chase has a secret destiny—one she could never have imagined…Something has always felt slightly off in Meghan's life, ever since her father disappeared before her eyes when she was six. She has never quite fit in at school…or at home. When a dark stranger begins watching her from afar, and her prankster best friend becomes strangely protective of her, Meghan senses that everything she's known is about to change. But she could never have guessed the truth—that she is the daughter of a mythical faery king and is a pawn in a deadly war. Now Meghan will learn just how far she'll go to save someone she cares about, to stop a mysterious evil no faery creature dare face…and to find love with a young prince who might rather see her dead than let her touch his icy heart.
This was a good Faerie story with a twist of mythical creatures from all realms...
We follow Megan Chase who is invisible to the worlds, even her own family. No one really pays her much mind, which is no one but her long time childhood best friend Robin Good fellow.
But Robin is keeping a secret from her, a very dark secret, which holds the secret to her entire existence. When Meghan finds out that her brother has been kidnapped she ventures out on a quest to find him with Robin.
Secrets are revealed, the glamour is raised and MAEGAN Chase finds out she is not the person she thought herself to be.
We are introduced to a new kind of fae made by the advancing sciences of man and technology.
Love, passion adventure, and humor
Julie Kagawa is so underrated...Great book for all faerie fans.

Julie Kagawa is the next big thing to keep an eye out for. She is a different kind of writer. Her imagination in my opinion is years into the future! She kept me panting in a super good way
Where do I start?  This is beyond a shadow of a doubt one of the best faerie books I've read in a long time. (And that’s an ACE). Engaging Heroine? Check. Unique plot? Yep! Riveting? Totally. Funny? LOL Yes!  Blistering romance? WOW! I really loved this book.  Kagawa created a captivating merge of classical fairy tale and modern-day escapade. First, the idea of the Iron Fey was prudent and skillful.  I was hooked right from the beginning. And all I can say is I have read this book six times! I don’t want to give anything away but this book is a MUST READ!

Title: Winters Passage
Author: Julie Kagawa
Series:  Iron Fey Series # 1.5
Publisher: Harlequin Teen
Ebook: 49
Publication Date: June 1st 2010
Meghan Chase used to be an ordinary girl...until she discovered that she is really a faery princess. After escaping from the clutches of the deadly Iron fey, Meghan must follow through on her promise to return to the equally dangerous Winter Court with her forbidden love, Prince Ash. But first, Meghan has one request: that they visit Puck--Meghan's best friend and servant of her father, King Oberon--who was gravely injured defending Meghan from the Iron Fey.Yet Meghan and Ash's detour does not go unnoticed. They have caught the attention of an ancient, powerful hunter--a foe that even Ash may not be able to defeat…
So after completing her first mission and defeating the iron King Meagan must fulfill her binding promise to the oh so beautiful Ash. In this Novella, we follow Ash and Meagan’s journey to the Winter Unseelie court. A perilous and adventurous task where they face a deadly foe as well as their feeling for each other.
Can Meagan see Ash for who he truly is, and can Ash come to terms with his inner turmoil? Cab=n they even defeat this foe, one of the oldest fae of time. I am so happy Julie wrote this Novella had me hooked and wanting more.

Winter's Passage is an Iron Fey novella that takes place between The Iron King and The Iron Daughter... Winter's Passage, tells the story of Ash and Megan’s journey to TIA NA NOG –(the winter court)! Both started realizing they have strong feelings for each other. Megan’s longing for Ash and Ash keeping his distance because summer and winter shares many things but love isn’t one of them! Technically, they a both are still enemies.
I've read everything Julie Kagawa has written so far! There is never a dull moment in her writing. Action. Suspense, Passion, Romance and Sacrifices! Oh! And winter’s passage is FREE! Checkout her website.

Title: The Iron Daughter
Author: Julie Kagawa
Series:  Iron Fey Series # 2
Publisher: Harlequin Teen
Paperback: 359
Publication Date: August 1st 2010
Half summer fairy princess, half human, Meghan has never fit in anywhere. Deserted by the Winter prince she thought loved her, she is prisoner to the Winter faery queen. As war looms between Summer and Winter, Meghan knows that the real danger comes from the Iron fey—ironbound faeries that only she and her absent prince have seen. But no one believes her.Worse, Meghan's own fey powers have been cut off. She's stuck in Faery with only her wits for help. Trusting anyone would be foolish. Trusting a seeming traitor could be deadly. But even as she grows a backbone of iron, Meghan can't help but hear the whispers of longing in her all-too-human heart.
The second book in the Iron Fey series comes with a force just as the first.
Julie Kagawa captures and keeps you hooked. Ash escorts Meghan to the winter court where she has to survive the scrutiny if the Unseelie.
The Iron court is making a slow rise with the other Fey courts unwilling to believe they exist despite Meghan’s  warnings.
Meagan has to fight her feelings for Ash as winter and summer courts could never be, Puck has recovered from his ailment and rejoins Meagan and Ash on their journey to once again protect all of fey world all at the same time revealing a secret to Meagan.
We are given action, adventure, love and ultimate sacrifice all in the name of love.

The Iron daughter follows on not long after the events that took place in the iron king. Queen Mab is holding Megan in the winter court due to the bargain Meghan (heroine) made with Ash to save her brother.  Basically, Julie Kagawa has done it again and this book is full of action, suspense and romance!   I could not put this book down. A page-turner and Megan has become a strong, sharp and fiercely loyal heroine. I am in love with this series and Julie Kagawa isn’t getting the credit she deserves.

 Title: The Iron Queen
Author: Julie Kagawa
Series:  Iron Fey Series # 3
Publisher: Harlequin Teen
Paperback: 358
Publication Date: January 25th 2011
My name is Meghan Chase.I thought it was over. That my time with the fey, the impossible choices I had to make, the sacrifices of those I loved, was behind me. But a storm is approaching, an army of Iron fey that will drag me back, kicking and screaming. Drag me away from the banished prince who's sworn to stand by my side. Drag me into the core of conflict so powerful, I'm not sure anyone can survive it.This time, there will be no turning back.
WOW..WOW and WOW...with a little sniff sniff.
I thought that Iron daughter was really good, but Iron Queen is unbelievably awesome. In the third upshot in the Iron Fey series, Julie had me reading and reading ignoring all of reality around me. I could not put this book down. All faerie lovers, this book series is definitely for you. She had me laughing many a times with Puck and his jocular personality, in love with Ash and Maegan, and rooting for everyone.
In the story we continue from Iron Daughter, where Ash and Maegan have been banished. They are now trying to move on with that one candle light of love, but unfortunately for these 'lovebirds' faerie land refuses to let them be. It seems that almost any and every one wants a piece of Maegan...all including the infamous Puck.Despite my dislike for Mab in the previous book I have grown a fond appreciation for her, and somehow understands her, I have always loved Oberon and that love grows more. Grimalkin I will always be indebted too, as for without him this series can never be. We definitely see the ice barrier melted from Ash- (which made me swoon for him even more), and Maegan has developed in character through time.
This book captured what true friendships are, the meaning of true love, loyalty, betrayal, and courage and has great alliances.
The twists turns action and adventure in this book combined with great writing and a great sense of humor had me hooked and I am pining for Iron Knight... A must read two thumbs ten toes oh what the heck all my body parts up for this one…

Where do I start? The Iron Queen wasn’t what I imagined… It was even BETTER!  There’re no words to express her writing! It was beyond excellent and I still say she SHOULD get more recognition!   Everyone and I mean EVERYONE! Who was important in the series played their parts well.  Megan, ASH, Puck, Grim, the Cat and even the summer and the winter courts! Stood their grounds to fight for what they believe in. Julie Kagawa is a phenomenon writer… she took me on a ride that I thought wasn’t possible. She is highly imaginative and creative… and my hat off to her- for her earth shattering tale. After reading this book … I know without a shadow of a doubt that when kagawa writes, she makes prophecies because at the end of this book, Even though it was a bittersweet ending, all I felt was HOPE! I cannot wait to see what she has planned for The Iron Knight! But rest assured I would be holding my breath counting  down to the days the Iron Knight will be released. WOW! What more can I say?  I still feel, I don’t think… I am giving this masterpiece enough credit!  Oh my goodness! I can’t give away any spoilers, but it is going to be worth the wait …  I mean … for those of you who hasn’t read The Iron Queen yet. YOU will not be disappointed! (5 stars) and then some!
A big thanks to Netgalley for me giving us an advance copy of The Iron Queen! And to Julie Kagawa, Author to the Iron Fey series- I am looking forwarding to your next series. Don’t stop writing EVER! -Writing is a part of who you are!  And thanks to HarlequinTeen for publishing her books! January 15, 2011.

Title: Summer’s Crossing
Author: Julie Kagawa
Series:  Iron Fey Series # 3.5
Publisher: Harlequin Teen
Ebook: 49
Publication Date: June 1st 2011
A Midsummer's Nightmare? Robin Goodfellow. Puck. Summer Court prankster, King Oberon's right hand, bane of many a faery queen's existence—and secret friend to Prince Ash of the Winter Court. Until one girl's death came between them, and another girl stole both their hearts.  Now Ash has granted one favor too many and someone's come to collect, forcing the prince to a place he cannot go without Puck's help—into the heart of the Summer Court. And Puck faces the ultimate choice—betray Ash and possibly win the girl they both love, or help his former friend turned bitter enemy pull off a deception that no true faery prankster could possibly resist A good story to hold me over until Iron Knight. I love Robin Goodfellow, not as much as Ash, but never the less I love him. I am hoping in Iron Knight we shall find someone for him to love.
Now in Summer's Crossing Ash must pay his debt back to Lia before pursuing his quest to be with Meagan. Even though this quest was bestowed upon Ash Puck has invited himself along for the ride.
But as Ash attempts to complete this task Puck's courage, strength, loyalty and honesty are put to the test. We see the true side of Mr Good fellow. Would you risk everything to have the one that you love, or would you give it away for that one to be truly happy? That is what my dear Puck must ask. One and a half thumb up.

This was a satisfying little read!!!
This novella is from Puck's POV.  And after reading the book… I know I am barely hanging … while waiting for The Iron Knight!!!!!
Leanansidhe has called in her favor from ASH… And as you know it, it was deadly!!!!  This book was fully of humor- PUCK and Action ASH!!!
Reading Ash and Puck together on there little adventure makes for some great dialogue. All I can say is that Kagawa never disappoints me… and I like everything she’d ever penned!!!

Title: The Iron Knight
Author: Julie Kagawa
Series:  Iron Fey Series # 4
Publisher: Harlequin Teen
Paperback: 394
Publication Date: October 26th 2011
 ARC: NetGalley

With the (unwelcome) company of his archrival, Summer Court prankster Puck, and the infuriating cait sith Grimalkin, Ash begins a journey he is bound to see through to its end— a quest to find a way to honor his solemn vow to stand by Meghan’s side.   To survive in the Iron realm, Ash must have a soul and a mortal body. But the tests he must face to earn these things are impossible. At least, no one has ever passed to tell the tale.   And then Ash learns something that changes everything. A truth that turns reality upside down, challenges his darkest beliefs and shows him that, sometimes, it takes more than courage to make the ultimate sacrifice
All I can say is, WOW! Julie, you brought it again! This book was great a perfect ending to this series. I still want more, but only because Julie K is an awesome storyteller. How far would you go for the one you love? Would you go to the end of the world? Give up everything you own? In iron knight we get Ash's tale. His heroic and adventurous tale of how he searched for a way to be with the one he loves. Faced with great indiscretions and peril, this story had me turning the pages non stop. We follow in the POV of Ash, who is accompanied on his journey by the endearing and somewhat annoying Puck. Please I urge you to read Winter's Passage and Summer's Crossing before delving into this. It is not a must but if you do you will feel a great familiarity with some of the happenings and characters in this tale. The Iron Fey definitely cannot be without my beloved Grim. Boy! I love that cat, and somehow I feel that he is the NEVERNEVER. Ash faces many perilous tasks and dark shadows held up in the closet for far too long. He MUST SURVIVE. When you thought you knew Ash from Iron Queen, you learn the other sides of Ash- such a complex person. You definitely see him in a different light at the end. Julie gave us new fiends and beings of Fey, new places to explore and new characters to love. A MUST READ FOR ALL FAE LOVERS. If I could I would give it ten stars, Julie I promise you this - I will follow you to the ends of the world anytime.- count me in.

I started reading this book Monday July 18th 2011, and I finished this book in less than 6 hours!!! And that is saying something. The Iron knight is a book the keeps you enthralled literarily!!! This story is told from Ash’s Point Of View, and a good thing at that because we got a glimpse of Ash’s personality, his way of thinking, what shaped him to become the Ice prince and most importantly, what he truly feels and how much he loves Megan. The Iron knight is thrilling, action packed from the very beginning until the end!!! The story is captivating, and mind blowing… its gut wrenching, yet joyous, its falling in love and heart breaking…I sat on the edge of my sit, pulse racing and I kept reading! “I read like a thirsty man seeking a drop of water”, it was that engrossing! I felt everything each character felt, especially ASH… and in the end, I couldn’t concentrate on anything else because my mind kept wondering to the book!!! I am trying really hard not to give anything away, but Julie Kagawa is an amazing writer! They are no words to qualify her creativity, her dedication, her originality, her splendid story telling abilities and her eloquence in weaving tales that will keep you up at night wondering! OH. There is also a jaw dropping surprise! “And you will NEVER guess” Remarkable! The twist was astonishing and completely “goose bump” inducing!!!! Kagawa wanted to make a statement and claim a stand and you know what? She did! Absolutely! She is a genius! She is amongst the writers I can never get enough of! She is utterly momentous! Everything about The Iron knight was well orchestrated, from the cover art to the entire collective works was woven into this story and it was brilliant! She gave each character we’ve ever met in her ‘Iron fey world’ an audience, NO character was left out!!! With kagawa you get to know her characters intimately and THAT’s! What great writhing entails!!! I know I’m going to miss this book and it’s characters… All in all I still think I haven’t done this book any justice!!! No matter… An astonishing ending to a well told legend. WOW! I love and recommend this book to anyone and I stand by my words! kagawa is an outstanding writer!!

The Lost Prince (Call Of The Forgotten # 1)
By Julie Kagawa

When I heard Ethan was getting his own book, I wasn’t surprise… I was like HUH! However, I was instantly grabbed and engrossed in the utter lovely difference in Ethan's story. The storyline, characters both old and new and the current adventure is just entrancing.

This book was fierce, witty, and edge of your sit and there’s a bit of romance in the horizon! I love how all the Iron Fey series seem to entwine and it all makes sense. I love the fact that there are many more stories to tell and we get few mind- blowing updates of out beloved characters.

Like with all Julie Kagawa’s book, The Lost Prince starts off with excitement and tension. It’s been well paced and laced with anticipation. Kagawa does know her to keep her readers hooked and I am not complaining. The iron Fey series had always had an addictive quality it and I must say that I’m glad that I am an addict! I don't want to spoil anything but I’d recommend reading The Lost Prophecy before reading this book. I loved loved it. The ending was edgy and wicked I want book two NOW!

All the hurt and pain he has been through, yet he remains so strong and determined. It was great to learn more about his relationship with Puck, and how they used to be before they were sworn enemies.
